The always-charged, always-ready IS hybrid range is fuel efficient and produces zero emissions when in Electric Vehicle mode. The advanced petrol-electric hybrid engine uses the revolutionary Self-Charging Hybrid system, an industry innovation which means you conveniently never have to charge the IS. The total system output from the 2.5-litre petrol engine and the nickel-hydrogen battery system is 164kW. An Electronically-controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT) maximises both efficiency and performance.

The IS features a 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound audio system that can be linked to smart devices by either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. All of these display the screen of the smartphone on the vehicle’s infotainment screen and links the phone’s audio output to the vehicle’s speakers.
